A young girl is building a plate, hoping to reach the heavens, to find the soul of her dead mother.

Took me around 2 months of work, painted above the 3Ds render. Rendered in light tracer (ew!), wich is fine if you're planning to paint right atop the results.

I'll post the original render at a later date. It's fairly close to the painted results - minus the brush strokes.
